Clare has worked at ESUB since 2022. She finds immense joy in organising daily logistics and working alongside passionate staff and volunteers to ensure children in Edinburgh can attend school with dignity and confidence. For Clare, the most rewarding aspect of her work is knowing that every clothing crisis pack prepared makes a direct, tangible difference in a young person’s life, relieving financial pressure for families and helping local kids thrive.

Nicola joined ESUB in June 2025 and is really enjoying working with and learning from the whole ESUB team.

Project Worker
Val started at ESUB in 2026 and is passionate about helping ensure that every child has the opportunity to feel confident, included and ready to learn, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances. Working with Edinburgh School Uniform Bank is incredibly rewarding because it directly supports equity in education by removing barriers that can affect a child’s wellbeing, self-esteem and sense of belonging. A school uniform is about much more than clothing; it can help children and their families feel part of their school community and allow them to focus on learning rather than worrying about fitting in. I’m loving learning from the rest of the team and being part of that support.
