Sponsor A Child Appeal 2023
Please give a child dignity, confidence and a sense of belonging when they go to school. Times are hard and families need your help more than ever. A set of uniform can be the difference between a child going to school or staying away.
There are two ways you can get involved in our Sponsor A Child Appeal this summer:
1) Email us at donations@edinburghuniform.org and we will send you the details of a child’s age, gender and what’s needed for a “back to school” pack. You then shop for the items and drop them in to one of our collection baskets.
2) Donate money and we will do the shopping for you.
You can of course just buy an item or two of new school clothing, and we will add it into a pack. Polo shirts (white), pants and socks are always needed. Our Amazon wishlist also remains open if you would like to have something sent directly to us.

If you are donating nearly-new items, please make sure that they meet these criteria:

  • Plain uniform items (no school badges)
  • Excellent condition
  • Freshly laundered
  • No socks, tights or underwear

Donations can be handed in at our drop-off points around Edinburgh.

Could you organise a donation drive at your workplace, school or community group to gather essentials for local children?

Could your company donate clothing or equipment for us to pass on to local children?

Please contact us to find out how to bring your community together and make a real difference to children living in hardship.

Please sign up to our mailing list for occasional updates about our work.
